Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale will be decked out in holiday finery, with a festive gingerbread village on display featuring a nostalgic candy wonderland.



Guests can enjoy complimentary hot roasted chestnuts and steaming apple cider on weekend evenings throughout the month of December 2013.  A local middle school choir will perform a complimentary holiday performance on Wednesday, December 18, while a jazz trio will perform on select Friday evenings during December. During this special yuletide season, guests will enjoy exclusive holiday rates when celebrating with Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale.  Book the Experience More package and receive a Resort credit with which to further enjoy the festivities.


Proof, an American canteen, will be serving up delectable holiday offerings throughout the month of November to celebrate all things fall. On Thanksgiving, Chef Jesse Hansen will feature a traditional holiday dinner special with turkey and all the fixings.  Proof will offer the regular menu and will be open for regular hours of operation on Thanksgiving. Returning this year, Proof will dish up holiday Pies and Sides “to-go,” allowing more time with friends and family and less time over a hot stove.




Available items include classic favourites such as turkey, marshmallow-pecan sweet potato pudding, buttermilk mashed potatoes, and broccoli and cheese-rice casserole. Pastry Chef Lance Whipple will be baking mouth-watering goodies such as chocolate-bourbon pecan pie, traditional pumpkin pie, and cranberry spice bars.  Or, try homemade chipotle-bacon caramel popcorn, perfect for football snacking.   All of the pies are cooked in glass Pyrex dishes that can go straight from the restaurant to the dinner table.



To place an order, call 480 513 5085 beginning November 1, 2013, or visit Proof in person to receive a check list and place an order.   Items are available for pick up November 21 – December 1, 2013 and December 21, 2013 – January 5, 2014.  Every order requires 48 hours advance notice.Talavera will feature its annual holiday buffet on Thanksgiving; the a la carte menu will not be available.  Guests will enjoy tempting dishes such as Alaskan snow crab claws, seared ahi tuna nicoise, a carving station with turkey and sage butter, apple-wood smoked salmon, and slow-roasted prime rib; plus butternut squash ravioli, maple-glazed yams and many delectable desserts.




The dinner will run from 12:00 – 7:00 pm, and the cost is USD 87.00 per person, and USD 43.00 for children ages 5-12. Reservations are required.Throughout the holiday season, guests of all ages can leave the snow behind and partake in fun-filled activities, unique to Four Seasons temperate locale.  A few of the many holiday festivities include sunset hikes to Pinnacle Peak trail, stargazing, Native American arts and crafts, Southwest storytelling and stargazing. Join Talavera on Christmas Eve for a special three-course dinner featuring a parsnip and truffle soup appetizer, or king crab and beef roulade. For the main course, guests can choose the Snake River wagyu strip loin or slow-roasted Christmas goose, followed by a festive gingerbread cake with eggnog mousse and cranberry sorbet for dessert.




The dinner will run from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and the cost is USD 85.00 per person. Christmas Day, December 25, 2013, marks further celebration in both Proof and Talavera.  Proof will feature a delicious Christmas special for lunch and dinner.  Proof will be open for normal business hours and will offer the regular a la carte menu in addition to the holiday dishes. Talavera will feature a Christmas buffet, sure to please any palate, that will stretch into Onyx Bar & Lounge.  Enjoy selections including beef tartare and caviar, oysters on the half shell, Maple Leaf duck breast, lobster and saffron risotto, and a carving station with bone-in ham and whole-roasted pancetta-wrapped beef tenderloin.



The dinner will run from 12:00 to 7:00 pm, and the cost is USD 87.00 per person. Celebrate the New Year with elegant ambience and delectable cuisine in Talavera on December 31, 2013, featuring a gala five- or seven-course plated menu.  As the clock strikes midnight, ring in the New Year with a Champagne toast and party favours in Onyx Bar & Lounge, along with live entertainment.  The cost for the evening is USD 87.00 for the five-course seating between 5:00 and 6:00 pm, and USD 155.00 for the seven-course second seating, between 8:00 and 9:00 pm.In Proof, guests will enjoy festive bar fare, and New Year’s Eve dinner specials featuring Chef Jesse Hansen’s spin on traditional New Year’s dishes. Proof’s New Year’s Eve dinner menu will be served from 5:30 to 10:00 pm and live music will help guests rock the night away.



Guests can begin and end their festivities in Onyx Bar & Lounge, enjoying a celebratory toast and light bites along with panoramic desert views.  Children are invited to welcome 2013 with their very own New Year’s Eve party in Kids for All Seasons, including refreshments, games and other festive activities.Guests looking to start the New Year’s celebrations a little early this year can indulge in Proof’s special New Year’s Day Breakfast from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, featuring a build your own Bloody Mary Bar, and items such as chicken and biscuits with gravy, steak and eggs, caramelized onion and egg pie, and Black Mesa Ranch goat cheese stuffed french toast with caramelized pear compote.
