Clevedon Art TailWith the aim of encouraging visitors to the area to immerse themselves in the ‘art’ of rural living, several artists and galleries in Clevedon, Auckland have joined forces to create an art trail.

The trail was launched on Auckland Anniversary weekend.

Galleries and artists participating in the art trail include the Left-Field Collective, sculptor Frank Watson, Art Industry, sculptor James Wright, woodware and furniture makers Woodzone, craft and arts studio Forgotten Arts, photographer Clinton Schubert and artist Katie Blundell.

Franklin Local Board Chair Angela Fulljames is excited about the trail’s potential, not just in showcasing the talents of Clevedon artists but attracting more visitors to the area.

“It will be great to see the trail become one of a host of attractions people come to Clevedon for, as well as the markets, regional parks wineries and beaches,” she says.

“All this helps to boost tourism and benefit the local economy.”
