A new guidebook to Belfast, called Belfast L’Essentiel, was launched in Paris, on the Tourism Ireland stand at IFTM (International French Travel Market), the largest travel trade exhibition in France.
The guidebook features lots of recommendations for French people planning a trip to Belfast – including great places to visit, eat and shop, as well as information about excursions from the city around Northern Ireland. It also includes tips from people like Paula McFetridge, Game of Thrones location manager Robert Boake and writer Glenn Paterson, who reveal what they love about Belfast.
Monica MacLaverty, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Southern Europe, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to support the production of this great new guide to Belfast. Interest in visiting Northern Ireland remains strong among French travellers and Belfast L’Essentiel will spike their interest and curiosity about all that Belfast and Northern Ireland have to offer and help them make the most of their visit here.”
The guide is written by Louise Henaff, who has reported on Northern Ireland for France Culture (national radio station); and it includes fabulous photography by Thomas Liverzay.
