Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau announced that Chaplin’s World By Grévin has received a Milestone Excellence in Tourism Innovation award. It is the Swiss Tourism Industry’s most coveted prize, which recognizes exceptionally innovative projects, which demonstrate the industry’s efforts to remain competitive in the 21st century.
Chaplin’s World is located in the Swiss town of Corsier-sur-Vevey on the shores of Lake Geneva. There is also a 250 m² VIP space in the Manoir de Ban, a 150-seat movie theatre, a four hectare park for large receptions, and the café-restaurant.
To quote Olivier Mathieu, Congress and Meetings Manager at Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau, “Chaplin’s World is much more than just a museum. It is a full experience by itself and it already has incredible international appeal.
This award is recognition of its contribution to tourism in our country. The dedication of the Chaplin’s World team means it has potential to become a ‘must-do’ for visitors to Switzerland, and is the ideal venue choice for event organizers looking for a more unusual venue that will inspire delegates.” More than 30 wax figures created by Musée Grévin, Paris, is one of the oldest wax museums in Europe adorn Chaplin’s World.
