Make-A-Wish Italy Onlus, a non-profit association that arranges special wishes for children who suffer from serious or chronic illnesses, will benefit between now and 6 January from every purchase on Alitalia’s millemigliagallery.com online store.
The airline will donate to the charity 100 miles for every 1,000 miles spent which can be used to buy up to 400 online gifts.
MilleMiglia is the most successful customer loyalty programme in Italy and since its inception in 1992 it has supported numerous charitable activities.
Alitalia commemorated the new initiative today when it hosted 10 children at its new Training Academy at Fiumicino to experience the excitement of “flying” to New York in a fully-equipped cockpit simulator where they were instructed by Alitalia qualified pilots.
