Check out why an American Airlines pilot kicked out 4 passengers before flying

american airlinesAn American Airlines captain reportedly refused to fly over the concerns of uneasy appearance of four travelers on board. A Sikh passenger named Shan Anand along with three other passengers was literally kicked out from an American Airlines flight because their appearance made the captain uneasy. The passengers filed a lawsuit of $9 million against the airline.

According to a CNN report, Shan Anand, a Sikh, along with three other friends- Faimul Alam besides a Bangladeshi Muslim and an Arab Muslim — all young US citizens, were ordered off the flight 44718 from Toronto to New York last month based upon their perceived race, colour and ethnicity.

The four passengers were friends and reportedly exchanged seats so that they could seat next to each other. Several minutes later, a flight attendant asked them to get off the plane and wait at the gate for further instructions.

The flight took off leaving the four passengers and called it a safety protocol according to the reports. It was only after the plane took off that an airline agent told the men “they could not board because the crew members, and specifically the captain, felt uneasy and uncomfortable with their presence on the flight and as such, refused to fly unless they were removed from the flight.

    These Americans are shit people….

Young obvious muslim men jumping around and changing seats to be near each other flying from a nation known to be lax on terrorism & security would make me nervous too! The Captain acted in the safety of his passengers..

Interesting!! Since when did changing seats constitute ‘jumping around’? As for our country being “…lax on terrorism & security…” there is no evidence whatever to justify this person’s comment. It just happens the people involved in the 9/11 attack in the U.S. were allowed to enter that country and were trained to fly there. Besides, in the one instance of a ‘terrorist’ entering that country from Canada, it was Canadian security notifying the U.S. border guards about him so they could arrest him!

Does this mean that Captain was from the mars or another planet? if this is going to happen in this cultured World by not recognizing the same specie or behaving differently with the color of skin then check out what kind of animal is that captain is?? Does he deserve to be at all in this profession?

  4. Pete says:

Even the flight had two armed marshals on board and all passengers went thru the security check.

  5. Julian Huffer says:

Their suit is certainly justified since this is racial profiling in its purest form! Some Americans just can’t accept there are people in the world who are ‘different’ from them. In this case, the pilot should be censured and disciplined or, preferably, fired.

  6. Alan Machin says:

If the captain has no confidence in airport security procedures, which seems to be the case, he should not be flying at all. He obviously should not be overriding the security people on the basis of appearance. That is illogical, captain! And immoral.

  7. liz says:

I expect several people on the plane were also nervous about what they were seeing.
Thanks to the captain for using his gut feeling to fly without these 4. I would love
to have him be the captain of all my flights!
