The Air India flight AI127 initially took off from Hyderabad on 16th November and it was destined to reach Chicago via New Delhi.
The Air India passenger Rahul Raghuvanshi was about to consume a vegetarian meal, when he found a dead cockroach in his food.
After the passenger twitted about the incident, the Air India authorities apologised to the passenger for the inconvenience and also said that they have a zero tolerance policy in this respect.
The senior manager for corporate communications of the airline, Dhananjay Kumar said that Air India took serious note of the incident and issued a notice to the caterer immediately. He also informed that the airline launched an investigation after the incident.
