Flight MU552 had taken off from Heathrow Airport around 9 p.m. on Tuesday carrying 186 passengers.
However, the plane of this airlines company developed a certain ‘mechanical breakdown’, according to a spokesperson of the airline who was addressing the media.
The aircraft was then diverted to Yemelyanovo International Airport that is located in Krasnoyarsk Krai. Then, it made an emergency landing there around 11 a.m. local time. A spokesman for the airline stated that a replacement plane was being sent to the airport to pick up the stranded passengers of this flight.
He also said that the aircraft might not be actually be leave Russia until 2 a.m. on Thursday.
He said that a new flight would take the passengers from Russia to Shanghai. The arrival time might change however.
