Chinese actress Xu Qing appointed as goodwill ambassador by Nepal

For the Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 campaign, Chinese actress Xu Qing has been conferred as the tourism goodwill ambassador.

The Nepali Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai during a special function in Kathmandu on Saturday conferred the actress the goodwill ambassador  for the promotion of Nepal’s tourism.

The minster said that the campaign will be taking a qualitative turn as  the Chinese  celebrity has a large number of followers on social media and is now the goodwill ambassador for the campaign.

Xu thanked Nepal for the nomination and  was really happy to be part of this campaign.

Nepal is preparing to celebrate a year-long VNY campaign in 2020 with a target to welcome 2 million foreign tourists and China is the second largest tourism source market for the Himalayan country.
