Family feud forced the young woman to get out of their car near the Siberian tiger enclosure at the Badaling Wildlife World in Beijing. As the young lady got attacked by a grownup tiger, the second lady got out of the car in order to save her. The second lady was later mauled to death by another big cat, which carried off her body afterwards. The first woman survived the attack with severe injuries.
It was found that the two ladies were also followed by a man and a kid, who tried to provide aid to them during the attack. The man and the kid were reported to be unharmed after the rescue attempt.
The staff members of the wildlife park rushed towards the family right after the attack. The older women died on spot.
At present the injured woman is recovering in a hospital.
The wildlife park used to allow visitors to drive through the tiger enclosure in their own vehicles. Signs inside the Badaling Wildlife Park clearly warned visitors not to get out of the vehicles.
The park encountered a similar attack in 2014, where a zookeeper died after being bitten by a Bengal tiger.
The Badaling Wildlife World was ordered to be closed for rectification after the horrific incident. The park authorities did not publish anything related to the incident in their official website. One of their microblog post stated that the park had to be closed due to heavy rainfall.
