Christophe Chantepy, the French Ambassador recently visited the beautiful Greece, port city, Patras, situated in the west Peloponnese on Monday. Christophe came here to meet Apostolos Katsifaras, the Western Greece Regional Governor and Mr. Kostas Peletidis, Patras Mayor. Chantepy and Katsifaras talked about the forecast for a lasting cooperation in tourism along with agricultural economy, research and innovation respectively.
The French ambassador noticed that western Greece, in respect to tourism was a tremendously popular tourism destination among French due to its eye-catching natural beauty and great cultural interest. Apart from this, the team also discussed the Network for Alliance and Entrepreneurship in Western Greece arranged by the regional authority.
Also, they explored the potential participation of the French embassy in a conference that will happen at the end of the year. The French ambassador was given a brief idea on the problems of the port city in the meeting with Peletidis.
The mayor however proposed a closer cooperation in culture from everyone. The French Institute in Patras was described by Chantepy as a bridge between Western Greece and France respectively.
