Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announced that Caroline Johnson has joined the organization as Senior Vice President, Membership Operations. Johnson will be responsible for leading membership strategy, planning and business operations in North America.
Johnson, who has been with CLIA for the last four months as a contractor, brings extensive experience in association and corporate leadership roles. Most recently, she was Senior Director, Marketing and Communications at Meetings Professional International (MPI) where she managed a department of 14 staff and built a unified brand by integrating consistent messages across all platforms, including a re-imagined member magazine and a robust social media strategy.
“The experience that Caroline brings with her to this new role is an ideal fit for CLIA,” said Cindy D’Aoust, president and CEO, CLIA. “I have already seen the value that she has brought to our organization. Her operational expertise and depth of experience will help us enhance our CLIA Travel Agent Member service efforts and deliver on our promise to provide travel agents with the most valuable membership in the industry.”
In her new role, Johnson will oversee the membership department, including the Member Services, Professional Development, Events, Membership and Trade Marketing teams. She will be responsible for all marketing and communications directed towards CLIA’s Travel Agency and Agent Members.
