As the Transport Safety Agency (TSA) is taking a long time in security checks, several American airport authorities are recruiting circus performers, providing passengers with mini therapy horses and snacks.
San Diego International Airport has enlisted Fern Street Circus to entertain passengers who has been standing in the line for ages. San Diego is not the only airport authority to try this method of pacification; Cincinnati (Northern Kentucky International Airport) is the one which arranged ponies from Oaks Miniature Therapy Horses program from Ohio. The miniature horses are tinted with rainbow-coloured hair. These ‘therapy unicorns’ are expected to reduce stress from the mind of the passengers who are being harassed by the TSA during security checks.
TSA is putting the entire blame on increased airport traffic and budget cuts. However, many people are condemning TSA of being inefficient to perform their duty. Some are also demanding TSA to be replaced by any private company. TSA pledged to hire 800 new employees by June in order to manage this unnecessary hazard.
Until then, clowns and horses are TSA’s best options available to save their neck.
