“People vie for this conference. It brings a lot of people to the area and it’s a way to showcase your area,” said Mistalynn Meyeraan, Spokesperson with Visit Grand Junction.
“There are people from every corner of Colorado and there’s about 30 vendors from the trade show area from all over the country,” added Meyeraan.
A number of people would be getting the opportunity to see the Grand Valley for the very first time.
“I love getting out here and getting the fresh air and breathing a little differently from the City of Chicago. It’s great,” said Hillary Pavia with Time Inc. Travel.
This conference would be a place where one can find all things related to travel and tourism. It would also be a big chance to explore and promote the area. The event is estimated to bring around $235,000 to the economy in just three days.
“It was a tough race to get this conference and we cannot be happier that we are actually the host this year,” said Meyeraan.
The Colorado Governor’s Tourism Conference will go on till Friday, October 27.
