The magazine highlights its grand public spaces, eight restaurants and bars, and “extraordinary reimagining of three colonial-era buildings by celebrated Perth architect Kerry Hill”.
Also naming Como The Treasury as Australia’s best new hotel, Gourmet Traveller points to “a fastidious, $110 million restoration that blends neo-renaissance flourishes with warm, West Australian hospitality”.
The magazine’s reviewers, who stay at hotels anonymously, select annual winners in 11 categories ranging from best service to best minibar.
