To celebrate Ryanair’s new services to Warsaw, Gran Canaria, Vilnius and Bratislava, Leeds Bradford Airport ran a competition to give away a pair of return flights for a lucky winner to explore what one of the new destinations has to offer. The new services, which took off from Leeds Bradford Airport on October 30th, are scheduled twice weekly through the Winter and into Summer 2017.
Lorna Kellet, 23, from Manchester, spotted the competition on social media and chose the city of Warsaw for her two return tickets. She travelled from Leeds Bradford Airport with her partner, Rick Bithell, at the beginning of December to explore the city and the Christmas markets.
“I’ve always wanted to go to Poland, so what better place to start than the capital? It was a lovely surprise to win a pair of return flights so I could go and start exploring. Warsaw in the winter is really beautiful, we stayed right in the heart of the Old Town which was a perfect place for sightseeing the town squares, memorials, castles and churches. We can’t wait to go back and we’re very grateful to Leeds Bradford Airport and Ryanair for the prize!”
Tony Hallwood, Aviation Development Director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said:
“We are delighted that Lorna has been able to explore one of our newest routes. Warsaw is a great destination to explore year round, from the markets at Christmas time to the parks and gardens in summer, so we are excited that Ryanair are flying twice weekly during the winter and through into Summer 2017 from Leeds Bradford Airport. It’s great to have welcomed Lorna to Leeds Bradford Airport and we hope to see her back here in the future to discover more of our fantastic new routes.”
The four newest Ryanair routes fly twice weekly from Leeds Bradford Airport; operating throughout Winter 2016/17 and Summer 2017. The additional routes bring the number of Ryanair routes to 25 in total, with 92 weekly flights from Leeds Bradford Airport.
