US President Donald Trump’s new policy on Cuba travel is confusing the travel and tour operators. The country is majorly dependent on its tourism as a tertiary sector and the visitors from America have the lion share in revenue generation in Cuba. While the group tour operators hope to sell more trips, but bed-and-breakfast owners in Cuba say they’re losing business.
On 16th June, President Donald Trump disclosed the new restrictions on travel business with Cuba. Not only that, US President made and embargo on Cuba and he took resolution to unveil all the crimes made by the Communist led Castro regime. President Donald Trump also slammed the former President Barack Obama’s dealings with Communist regime.
Most of Americans are planning to cancel their accommodation bookings for the legal confusions, requirement and the documentation of their spending. The tour operators in Cuba received lots of cancellation for the month of June to July.
The new rules by President Donald Trump also prohibit Americans from doing business with articles controlled by Cuban Military and Intelligence Agencies and some hotels and resorts. Many tour operators commented that there will not be any problem because they already use the privately owned villas, resorts, casas, eateries, local guides, entrepreneurs and artists.
Now some of the travel and tour companies in Cuba are planning to enhance the tourism as a part of industry. The small bed-and-breakfast owners map to create the informal associations to accommodate larger American groups and also they will provide more offers in accommodation bookings.
