Conrad Macao’s 2017 ‘PINK Inspired’ Campaign Raises over MOP140,000

image001 (3)Conrad Macao, Cotai Central raised over MOP140,000 during October as part of the hotel’s PINK Inspired campaign to support the Hong Kong Cancer Fund’s PINK Revolution and local Macao charitable organisation Associação de Feliz Paraíso. As a sponsor of the annual campaign, which increases awareness and funding for breast cancer research, for the fifth consecutive year, the hotel offered its guests a series of PINK experiences and collectibles throughout October.

 

Pink Inspired included a number of pink themed experiences for guests and visitors to enjoy including beautiful pink floral arrangements and lighting decorations throughout the hotel as well as ‘PINK Fridays’ where staff and management added a dash of pink to their uniforms and hotel stationery.

 

In addition Conrad Macao also pledged to donate a portion of its proceeds from the sales of its iconic bear and rubber duck – both of course, in limited edition pink. This year also saw a partnership with luxury watchmaker Longines, who generously donated two signature timepieces for the PINK Inspired 2017 Campaign. Guests who enjoyed a PINK Inspired experience or purchased a collectible were entered into a prize draw to win a La Grande Classique de Longines watch.

 

Hotel guests were able to support the 2017 PINK Inspired campaign in a variety of ways, by either enjoying a PINK Inspired Afternoon Tea experience, PINK spa treatment or purchasing the hotel’s iconic bear or rubber duck in limited edition pink. The hotel’s award-winning signature restaurant Dynasty 8 also offered a special PINK menu. Conrad Macao guests also had the option of adding MOP 10 to their room bill, which was then donated to the fund, in turn receiving a pink ribbon to add to the hotel’s topiary tree. As part of the hotel’s commitment to also support local charities a portion of the proceeds were donated to Associação de Feliz Paraíso based in Macao.

 

One of the highlights of this year’s campaign was a PINK charity lunch supported by the International Ladies’ Club of Macau (ILCM) held on Oct. 19 at Conrad Macao. Special guests included Ms. Gloria di Parma, one of the lead dancers from Crazy Horse Paris’ Forever Crazy show, popular Hong Kong television actor and doctor Mr. Marcus Kwok who acted as emcee, and author and founder of Miss Tove’s English Schools in China Ms. Tove Vine as guest speaker.

 

More than 250 guests, all dressed in various shades of pink, dined on a pink-themed menu. Guests were able to purchase raffle tickets to win more than MOP 180,000 in prizes, thanks to the support from many retail partners at Sands Shoppes Macao, including Longines, T Galleria by DFS, Gold Elements, Véuve Clicquot, Élévatione Time Stops, Tuscan’s, Ofee, Vine Vera, APM Monaco, Furla and Anteprima and LUV & BART.

 

In addition, guests at the event also had the chance to win a luxury hotel stay at Conrad hotels around the world including Conrad Beijing, Conrad Koh Samui, Conrad Seoul, Conrad Hong Kong, Conrad Bangkok, Conrad Manila, Conrad Bali, Conrad Guangzhou, Conrad Tokyo, Conrad Macao, Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund and Waldorf Astoria Beijing.

Many of Conrad Macao’s celebrity guests also came on board to support the campaign: from host of America’s Next Top Model, singer and actress Rita Ora to Hong Kong Canadian singer Joyce Cheng, Hong Kong drummer and singer songwriter Jun Kung and Taiwanese singer Christine Fan Wei-Chi to name just a few; all happy to have their photos taken with the famous Conrad Pink Bear.

 

Social media also played a part in the success of this year’s event, with the PINK Inspired campaign reaching more than 89,000 Facebook fans through Conrad Macao’s Facebook page.
