cruise ship touristsOne travel agent Dreamlines is currently discussing with Cruise 1st about a ‘potential transaction’ of Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited’s stake in the agency.

A joint statement that was issued on Tuesday evening has confirmed that discussions were ongoing and parties are optimistic about a deal in the future.

Manchester-based agency Cruise 1st was launched in the year 2000.

It had undergone a management buyout in 2015. Royal continued to be a part-owner of the business. The size of Royal stake is yet to be disclosed.

Stuart Leven who is the managing director of Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited told the media that they are in the midst of a transaction and there were confidentiality agreements in place.

Dreamlines has operations in seven nations across the world but is understood to be eager to invest in the market of the United Kingdom instead.

Last month, Cruise 1st had opened an interactive concept store in Manchester and it claimed that it was the first of its kind in the country. This store is aimed at luring new-to-cruise customers and flaunts virtual reality headsets that permit shoppers to check out various cruise lines.
