Travel Leaders Group that is a leading travel agency of the US has mentioned in its survey data that the cruise industry, along with real-time current booking statistics portray an increased demand among leisure tourists for cruise holidays in 2017.
As much as 78% of travel agent experts who book cruise vacations have asserted that their 2017 cruise bookings are either to or much higher as compared to that of last year.
In addition, over 84% of the survey participants have said that their Mediterranean cruise bookings have risen or are at par, year-on-year.
The survey results state that the Western Caribbean cruises are some of the most popular itinerary that are being booked and this is followed by Alaska cruises, Mediterranean, European river cruises as well as Eastern Caribbean cruises. This survey data is actually based on the reactions from 1,062 Travel Leaders Group travel experts who end up booking their cruise vacations for the clients.
Cruise bookings for 2017 have been on the raise since last year.
Also, a substantial percentage of the leisure bookings of travel agents belong to the segment of the cruise industry, as stated by Ninan Chacko, the CEO of Travel Leaders Group. He added that the latest data published by this agency highlight that there has been a 10% increase in year-on-year revenue for premium and luxury cruise bookings.
He said that their travel agents are constantly educating themselves either by first-hand experience and also an in-depth training to make sure that they match the right cruise line.
