Cuba attracts over two million touristsCuba’s attraction as tourist destination has increased with the arrival of over two million visitors in the first nine months of 2013.

According to data published by the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI in Spanish), during the period, Cuba received 2,144,632 tourists, of which 147,673 were visitor arrivals in September.

Visitors were mainly from Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Argentina and Italy.

According to ONEI statistics, in the last five years, international visitor arrivals to Cuba have gradually increased.

In three quarters of 2009, the number of visitors rose from 1.8 million to 2.1 million in 2012.

Cuba has over 60,000 hotel rooms nationwide.

Besides its sun and beach attractions, Cuba also offers eco-tourism, cultural packages, business trips and water sports.
