Cuba strives to expand hotel infrastructure to accommodate more tourists

Cuba strivesExpanding its tourism products, Cuba hopes to add another 20,000 hotel rooms by 2020, he director of development and investment, José Reinaldo Daniel said.

 
Cuba has currently 66,547 hotel rooms and aims to add 4,020 more rooms at the end of this year.

 

Eastern city of Holguin, which is slated to host 37th Edition of the international tourism fair FITCuba 2017, boasts 4,440 rooms in 21 hotels and is known for its nature, history and beach tourism.

 

However, the resort of Varadero , continues as one of the most demanded, with 20 thousand rooms in 52 hotels, and for the ninth consecutive year exceeded one million visitors in 2016.

 

Among the most important developments of hotel and extra-hotel infrastructure, Havana, Varadero, Trinidad, the northern keys of the country and Holguin can be taken into account.
