Cyprus to expect a record yearCyprus in the initial months of 2017 witnessed a 3.6 percent rise in UK tourist arrivals. Therefore, this year, the country is expecting a record inflow in terms of tourism.


Mediterranean, the third largest island witnessed an up of 99,503 UK tourists, annually in the three months till March 31st. One of the top source markets to Cyprus, the country witnessed more than 40 percent of the 3.2 million total arrivals last year. To quote Cyprus Tourism Organization UK director Orestis Rossides, ‘visitor figures for 2017 are looking positive and this upward trend is only set to continue.’ As he confirmed that the CTO appointed a new PR agency in the UK in order to raise awareness of Cyprus as one of the safest and accessible destinations to be.
