Cyprus Tourism Organisation reveals 14.7% increase in global tourists arrival

Cyprus’ global tourist arrivals reached 3,553,149  from January to November 2017, showing 14.7 per cent increase on the same period in 2016.

According to the Cyprus Tourism Organisation November 2017 was a successful month for both UK and global visitors with year-on-year arrivals up by 18.4 per cent and 16.5 per cent respectively.

Last month,the organisation revealed January to October 2017 figures which exceeded total visitor arrivals in 2016.

There were 1,225,621 UK arrivals from January to November 2017 showing an  8.3 per cent increase from the previous year.

Cyprus Tourism Organisation had successfully  promoted  its winter sun offering and the strong figures were a result of  it.

The month of November was alone up by 16.5 per cent globally year-on-year and up 18.4 per cent for the UK market.

Orestis Rossides, UK director of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation was delighted to see Cyprus continuing to perform well through the winter and was proud of achieving another record breaking year.
