Danzhai Wanda Village – A significant international tourism destination

Danzhai Wanda VillageThis week, Guizhou, a mountainous province in southwest China was devoted as an IIPT Global Town of Peace. The ceremony was coordinated by Ms. Haybina Hao, Honorary Mayor of the Village for the week. Haybina’s target is to create greater international awareness regarding the Danzhai Wanda Village as an important international tourism destination and its inspiring contribution behind the reduction in poverty.

Previously Haybina was the Vice President, International Development, U. S. Tour Association. During this time, she played an important role in developing tourism from China to the US and helped in creating a tour operator’s reception system in terms of inbound Chinese tourists. She is a well-known China tourism expert in China as well as US.

Haybina’s position as Honorary Mayor was aimed on attaining “A Dialogue between Danzhai and the World.” The events in December showcased greeting videos and letters dispatched from eleven international destinations and tourism organizations applauded Danzhai Wanda Village for its success in luring over 3 million visitors in 6 months from the time of its opening this July 2017.

Also, the ceremony highlighted the dedication of Danzhai Wanda as an “IIPT Global Town of Peace” in which Louis D’Amore, IIPT Founder and President stated: “The founders and administrators of Danzhai Wanda are to be congratulated on their impressive award winning achievements in such a short period of time.”

He continued: “As 2017 is the UN International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development and Peace, of particular significance is Danzhai Wanda’s contribution to UN Sustainable Development Goals one and four: to reduce poverty and provide for quality education. As a result of your efforts, 40,000 lives have been enhanced, raising each of them above the poverty line. And with the dedication today of Danzhai Wanda as an IIPT Global Town of Peace – your contribution to UN Sustainable Development goal sixteen – to nurture peace and mutual understanding.”
