Darwin Convention Centre’s new event space giving a new dimension in Australia’s MICE industry

Darwin Convention CentreDarwin Convention Centre has geared busy event season with over 8,000 conference delegates and it is expected to meet in Darwin between February and November in 2018.

 

 

The medical professionals, Australian and Asian researchers and scientists, government officials, defense force personnel, academics and business leaders in fields as diverse as rural health, neurology, chronic disease, media, education, defense, mining, transport, government and construction, will visit the tropical harbour city to conduct business this year.

 

 

The Darwin Convention Centre will welcome back some familiar events in 2018. Amongst others, the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association Conference and Exhibition is returning which was last held at the centre in 2010 and the Northern Australia Food Futures Conference which was first held in 2016. The centre is also looking forward to hosting the Rural Medicine Australia Conference for the first time. Large public events including the World Travel Expo 2018, Skills, Employment and Careers Expo 2018 and the 12th Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair will see the doors of the world-class Convention Centre welcome thousands more visitors.

 

With its waterfront location, spectacular views, multi-purpose and adaptable event spaces for up to 1,200 delegates and professional, friendly staff, the centre is the venue of choice for those wishing to conduct conferences and events in Darwin.

 

 

These business events will contribute significant economic return to Darwin and the Northern Territory, estimated at over $23 million.
