Delta Boosts Connectivity from Stockholm to the Big Apple and Beyond

DELTALOGODelta Air Lines will be offering customers flying from Stockholm’s Arlanda  Airport smoother connections to a number of U.S. destinations this summer via its hub at the newly extended Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Effective June 6, 2015, Delta will operate four weekly nonstop flights between Stockholm and New York-JFK in conjunction with joint venture partner, Air France KLM, using a Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Customers connecting to destinations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Orlando will benefit from same-terminal transfers thanks to the new $175 million extension of Terminal 4 at JFK.

“Swedish tourists rank in the top 20 international visitors to the United States; this summer we will offer more than 1,300 weekly seats between Stockholm and New York, with around 40% of these passengers connecting to other U.S. cities,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Last year U.S. visitor numbers increased by more than 10 percent and the stronger dollar means more U.S. tourists are coming to Sweden.  The enhanced connectivity at JFK will make it easier for them to fly here.”

The Stockholm to New York-JFK schedule is as follows:

Flight number Departure Arrival
DL203 Stockholm  at 1:20 p.m. New York-JFK at 4:04 p.m.
DL202 New York-JFK at 9:33 p.m. Stockholm  at 11:50 a.m. next day

International passengers flying in Delta’s business class cabin, Delta One, enjoy a full range of premium products for a comfortable, relaxed, and productive in-flight experience. These include fully flat-bed seats with Westin Heavenly Inflight Bedding from Westin Hotels & Resorts. Delta offers fine dining onboard with chef-inspired menus accompanied by wines selected by Master Sommelier, Andrea Robinson.

Customers flying in Delta Comfort+, Delta’s premium economy service, benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Delta’s standard international Main Cabin seats, as well as priority boarding. Other product initiatives being rolled out across Delta’s international fleet include the expansion of Wi-Fi service.

Delta unveiled the newest expansion to Terminal 4 at New York-JFK in January 2015. The project added 11 new gates and 75,000 square feet to Concourse B and continues Delta’s $1.2 billion investment to enhance and expand Terminal 4.  The new gates at Terminal 4 all feature enclosed jetways and offer customers proximity to a flagship Delta Sky Club and access to chef-inspired restaurants.
