After a passenger assaulted a flight attendant, the flight heading from Delta Air Lines from Seattle to Beijing had to return to Seattle Tacoma International Airport.
Perry Cooper, airport spokesman stated that a man aged 23, travelling in first class attacked the flight attendant about 45 minutes into Delta Flight 129. The man was arrested after the plane landed. The flight attendant and another person were injured and were rushed to a hospital.
The flight later left for Beijing again after the passenger was restrained onboard and was removed from the flight by law enforcement without leading to further incident.
One of the passengers Dustin Jones said that one of the flight attendant ran back and said there was a Code 3 and then there was a serious fight.
The handcuffed, zip-tied man was taken into the terminal in a wheel chair once the plane landed where he yelled for help. He was belligerent and kept asking for help, although the incident can’t be taken as a national security threat.
