Teams in the airline’s Operations & Customer Center continue to keep an eye on a winter storm affecting travel across the Northeast over the weekend into Monday.
A weather waiver for customers traveling to, through or from 22 cities in the Northeast remains in effect as Delta’s meteorology team anticipates more snow in the region Monday afternoon. The waiver allows customers with flexibility in their travel plans to make a one-time change to their itinerary without incurring a change fee.
On Sunday, approximately 157 Delta Connection flights were proactively or tactically cancelled as a result of the winter storm, which brought rain, snow and mixed precipitation to parts of the Midwest, Northeast and New England.
Across the northern region, Delta people continue working around the clock to de-ice planes and assist customers traveling home from the holiday.
As always, customers are encouraged to check their flight status on Delta.com or the Fly Delta Mobile App. Customers can also get updates sent directly to their mobile device or by email with One-Time Flight Notification.
