“We are thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Jae Kullar, Manager of Health and Wellbeing. “More than just exciting, this highlights the positive impact our wellness programs have had on the lives of Delta people. It’s why we do what we do. We couldn’t have done it without the passion and dedicated engagement of our Wellness Champions and Leaders.”
The non-profit presenting the award, The Health Project, uses its volunteer board of directors comprised of scholars, health services researchers, medical directors, consultants and business executives known for their rigorous standards to evaluate the data submitted by each organization. Since 1994, The Health Project has been encouraging the development of wellness and cost-saving programs by bestowing these prestigious awards to organizations that make significant contributions to public health.
Delta was one of three companies that received an honorable mention this year including, IDEXX Laboratories and PepsiCo.
Delta’s Wellness program was recognized for implementing wellness initiatives that have generated a measurably positive impact on workers’ health as well as “meaningful business outcomes.”
“We congratulate our three Honorable Mention designees for their excellent programs,” said Ron Goetzel, Ph.D., President and CEO of The Health Project. “These employers have figured out how to best design, implement and evaluate their wellness programs.”
An awards ceremony to commemorate the honorees will be held on Sept. 12 at the annual Health Enhancement Research Organization Forum in Phoenix.
