Despite new coronavirus cases popping up, Italy is a safe country, says the PM

For tourism, Italy is a safe haven, Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte explained on Tuesday, regardless of the recent outbreak of coronavirus. “Italy is a safe country for travel and for tourism, probably safer than many others,” Conte informed a news conference.

 

In Italy, the number of cases of coronavirus, the country in Europe which is worst affected, increased to over 280 with almost 40 fresh cases reported in Lombardy and nine new ones in Veneto. The death toll remained unchanged at seven.
