Destination Canada brands Select Citywalk Mall, New Delhi, with enticing images of Canadian experiences and landscape to celebrate the winter season. A special kiosk has been set up in the centre of the mall with leading travel partners to create a point of sale for buyers in the month of December. Special packages are being offered during the on-going promotion.
The campaign was ceremonially inaugurated by Nadir Patel-High Commissioner for Canada to India on December 7th, 2015.
Indian travellers are now experimenting more than they did in the past and Canada has become the first choice of winter tourism for Indians. Indians look forward to winter activities like watching polar bears, snowmobiling, ice fishing, dog sledding, snowboarding, viewing northern lights, gondola rides on snow laden peaks, ice walks and many more. The experiential traveller is in for a winter treat whether indoors or outdoors.
2015 has been a brilliant year for Destination Canada capturing a greater share of India’s long-haul outbound market. Special effort has been put in to connect with consumers directly.
In September 2015, 12 % increase was registered in Indian tourist arrivals to Canada.
