The Destination Niagara USA board has tourism as well as general business seats. At this time, three general business seats have been annulled. To meet the criteria in terms of general business, the business of the said applicant must draw over 50 percent of revenue from the Western New York region alone and not from the tourism industry.
Destination Niagara USA officials explained that the main target is to employ new and committed members in the board who will posses strong interest in developing the Niagara County tourism economy. Board members will be requested to complete the following duties and commitments:
Support and sustain the undertaking of the Destination Niagara USA. It is all set to perk up the economic condition of the Niagara County by endorsing and marketing the county as a leading meetings, conventions and leisure tourism destination to the world.
Embrace one of the following titles: business owner or principal, president, CEO, vice president or general manager; or hold an upper management/executive level position. Also, to possess the aptitude to access a secure, web-based board portal to receive meeting notices and exchange general communications.
