As of now Austrian Airlines is offering its passengers a digital selection of German-language and international newspapers and magazines. Since October 2015, passengers have been able to test the digital media offering in the Austrian Airlines lounges at Vienna Airport. Effective immediately, the extensive eJournal media library featuring more than 200 different media is available to all Austrian Airlines passengers, also outside of the lounge.
Passengers receive notification with general information about their upcoming journey about three days before departure. Their personal access code for the eJournal Media Box is included in this email. Passengers can also select their desired newspapers and magazines during Web check-in on the Austrian Airlines Website and directly load them on their mobile device. Downloading is also possible after check-in up until the flight’s departure. Passengers have access to the Media Box (eKiosk) at any time via the Austrian Airlines Website.
The number of free downloads depends on the particular travel class and the Miles & More frequent flyer status. If the free download volume is used up, every passenger can purchase additional digital newspapers and magazines at the Austrian Airlines eKiosk.
