The Discovery Park of America to arrange tourism summit for Northwest Tennessee

The Discovery Park of America and Obion County Chamber of Commerce are organizing a summit to boost up Tennessee’s Reelfoot Lake Region’s tourism.

On March 26th, the Northwest Tennessee Tourism Summit will be organized at Discovery Park. DPA Marketing Director Mary Nita Bondurant explained that the summit sessions focus on helping businesses, company and city managers to work together to grow visitors as well as revenue. She said CEO Scott Williams wants the summit to unite regional businesses together.

“He just really likes to focus on regional tourism and how we can all work together to help each other,” Bondurant said. “Especially when it comes to getting tour buses to stop in the area.”

Mark Ezell, Tennessee Department of Tourist Development Commissioner is the keynote speaker. He was selected in December. Bondurant said DPA scheduled the summit, in part, to bring Ezell to west Tennessee.
