Sealed Air’s Diversey Care division announced that Dr. Dale Grinstead, Senior Technology Fellow, will be honored with the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Fellows Award at a ceremony on July 12.
The annual award recognizes IAFP members who have contributed to the association and its affiliates over an extended period of time.
“For many years, Dale has been a tremendous asset to Diversey Care and the industry, making him incredibly deserving of IAFP’s Fellows Award,” said Ilham Kadri, president, Diversey Care. “His dedication to research, training and mentoring will certainly make a positive impact on our customers and the next generation of food safety professionals.”
A food microbiologist with more than 20 years of industrial R&D experience, Dr. Grinstead has noted achievements in new product development, retail and food processor food safety, personal care, regulatory and academia. In his current role, he also provides consultative and technical support to internal teams and customers in the areas of microbiology, food safety and infection control.
Grinstead received his Ph.D. in food technology from Clemson University. An active IAFP member since 1997, he is also involved with the American Society for Microbiology and the Conference for Food Protection. Grinstead has also been published in key journals and publications and has several industry patents related to food safety.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for food safety,” said Grinstead. “I’m thrilled to be recognized by IAFP, and look forward to continuing to educate others about the importance of maintaining hygienic environments in order to minimize foodborne illness risks.”
