With the 20th edition of International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) just around the corner, Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection is preparing to showcase its product and the opportunity for international golf tourists to visit Europe’s most popular golf holiday destination, The Algarve.
For the first time since the launch of Dom Pedro Golf, a newly formed division designed to integrate the group’s ownership of three hotels and five golf courses in Vilamoura. The Dom Pedro team will be in attendance at IGTM to discuss its future vision with a number of tour operators interested in bringing golfers to Portugal.
Owning and operating one of Europe’s largest portfolio of courses which are at the epicentre of The Algarve, Dom Pedro has contributed greatly to the region’s status among golfers worldwide. Indeed, from 2014-2016, it was recognised by the World Travel Awards as The Best World and European Golf Destination.
Since acquiring all five of Vilamoura’s stunning championship golf courses in early 2017, adding to its collection of three well-established hotels in Vilamoura, Dom Pedro has improved its proposition for tour operators, offering a single point of contact and a more aligned booking experience.
Lying at the heart of The Algarve, Dom Pedro in Vilamoura remains one of Europe’s most sought-after golf holiday experiences. Within a short drive of each hotel, which can be reached courtesy of a free golf transfer service, lie the five championship courses, which make up the famous Dom Pedro Golf Collection: Victoria Golf Course (host to the Portugal Masters since 2007), The Old Course Golf Club, Pinhal Golf Course, Millennium Golf Course and Laguna Golf Course.
This connectivity between golf courses and the Dom Pedro Vilamoura, Dom Pedro Marina and Dom Pedro Portobello hotels is one of the USPs of the destination, and is sure to be a hot topic of discussion during meetings at IGTM, along with confirmation of packages and rates for 2018.
