DoubleTree by Hilton today opens its doors to its newest property – DoubleTree by Hilton London – Kensington – joining a further 27 DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in the UK. Located just a short walk from the city’s top attractions including the Victoria & Albert Museum, iconic Royal Albert Hall and Natural History Museum, DoubleTree by Hilton London – Kensington is perfectly located for exploring the city’s greatest hotspots.
Retaining much of its original 1870s architecture, the hotel features 203 rooms – including four suites – all offering a welcoming and comfortable environment for business and leisure guests alike.
The Regency Restaurant, with its international menu using local ingredients, is the perfect venue for socialising with friends and colleagues. Alternatively, 100 Queen’s Gate Bar and Lounge offers a space to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere. After a busy day, enjoy delicious cocktails, lunch or pre-theatre snacks.
The ideal base for shopping, DoubleTree by Hilton London – Kensington is located within walking distance from world-renowned department store Harrods, as well as upmarket shops and stalls at the nearby Portobello Market and Notting Hill area, popular with both locals and visitors. For those guests who prefer a relaxing day indoors, the hotel offers a well-equipped gym and private steam rooms.
The hotel features eight meeting rooms, the largest being the Cromwell Harrington Suite catering up to 100 people in theatre style, with high ceilings and natural daylight making it a great choice for business meetings or small gatherings.
Dianna Vaughan, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said, “We opened our first European DoubleTree by Hilton in Cambridge in 2008 and we are so pleased that our portfolio here in the UK continues to grow. We have no doubt that our warm and welcoming culture of hospitality will be embraced in Kensington, making it the perfect place for both tourists and business travellers.”
CEO of Crimson Hotels, Aly Kassam commented, “Building on our current portfolio, this will be our third DoubleTree by Hilton in central London and our fourth in the UK. This unique opportunity to renovate and rebrand the hotel to the next level of indulgence is consistent with our focus on acquisition of hotels in prime locations.”
DoubleTree by Hilton London – Kensington participates in the Hilton HHonors® loyalty program, which is open to all guests and free to join. HHonors members always get our lowest price with our Best Price Guarantee, along with HHonors Points, free standard Wi-Fi, access to digital check-in and Digital Key, and no hidden fees, only when they book directly through Hilton.
