Held across four days from Friday, March 24, 2017, the rally will feature a range of events, including a meet-and-greet, a jaguar display day at Fly Point Park which will be open to the general public, a presentation dinner and a sporting event where participants will race against the clock and compete for the fastest time.
The event will be run by the Australian Council of Jaguar Clubs and supported by the Jaguar Drivers Club Hunter Region, and participants from all over the country will come and stay at the Ramada Resort on the shores of Shoal Bay. The theme will be ‘Jags Prowling Port Stephens’ and many participants are also expected to make the most of their journey by exploring the Port Stephens region.
ACJC’s 2017 National Rally director, Ken White, who lives in Nelson Bay, is looking forward to the event. “We’re delighted to bring our rally to Port Stephens in 2017 to showcase our special cars and share our passion for this beautiful car with the public” he said.
Destination Port Stephens Marketing Manager Danny Eather said that the rally would have a sizeable impact on the region’s economy. “We’re thrilled that the Jaguar Rally will be held in beautiful Port Stephens this year. Spending by participants and visitors to the event on local accommodation, food and attractions will support the local economy and the event will provide colour and spectacle for locals and visitors alike,” he said.
The free, public Jaguar display day will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Fly Point Park in Victoria Pde, Nelson Bay, from 9am to 3pm. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun.
