During the three hour trip from the airport in Edinburgh to Alicante airport, the drunken passengers managed to frighten the other passengers of the Ryanair jet.
It was found from an eye witness that during a scuffle that broke out between the revellers, a poor 10-year-old kid got hit in the head by a flying wine bottle, which was thrown by the drunken passengers.
The Ryanair flight initially took off from Edinburgh around 11.15 am local time.
According to the witnesses, the revellers were ‘absolutely hammered’ as they boarded the passenger flight.
As the Spanish police were waiting in the airport for the troublemakers, they swapped their clothes in order to confuse the airline crew members.
The authorities of Ryanair later informed that the crew had to request for police assistance as soon as the situation started to get out of hand. The four drunken passengers were later removed from the flight and they were detained at the Alicante airport by the authorities.
The spokesperson for the airline stated that they would not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour. The spokesperson also added that the safety and comfort of their customers, crew and aircraft is their number one priority.
