Dubai Duty Free participates in Dubai Fitness Challenge

Around 90 Dubai Duty Free employees and cycling enthusiasts participated in Dubai Fitness Challenge initiative. On Saturday morning 3rd November the participants rode their bicycle for a 25km cycling race at DXBike Cycling Track in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One in Meydan.

Commenting on the event, Executive Vice President for Corporate Services, Salah Tahlak, said, “Dubai Duty Free is proud to be involved in such a huge community event and it’s great to see so many of our staff join Michael and myself for this activity. Many of our staff ride on a weekly basis or daily basis, which is a great way to keep fit, and we were also joined by newcomers to cycling who will hopefully continue to enjoy the sport.”

Michael Schmidt, Senior Vice President – Retail Support also took part in the event and hit the road at the DXBike Cycling Track in Meydan along with the members of Dubai Duty Free Cycling Team. The cyclists completed between one and three laps (9-27 km).

The retail operation has three more corporate fitness activities planned for the Dubai Fitness Challenge which includes the finals of the annual Dubai Duty Free Bowling Tournament tomorrow, 5th November to be held at Dubai International Bowling Centre in Al Mamzar. A Dragon Boating is scheduled on 9th November at Dubai Creek & Yacht Club and a group Zumba class will also be conducted by a licensed Zumba Fitness Trainer on 17th November at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium.
