Dubai introduces digital apps to boost tourism

Tourism chiefs in Dubai have collaborated with two new digital apps to introduce two new free Dubai tours that would encourage tourists explore beautiful historic sites and landmarks in the city.

Dubai Tourism that represents Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing mentioned that the tours Al Fahidi Architecture Tour and Metro Moments are presently available to download absolutely for free from Google Play and App Store.

Both these tours are supported by GPS technology.

These tours utilize audio narrations to guide tourists through Dubai and it automatically progresses from one point of interest to the next in real time.

And it depends on the location of the user.

The pre-recorded audio is available in English, German and also Chinese, Furthermore, each of the tours also come in text form. It is accompanied by a map to help with navigation.

Metro Moments is available of Voice Map.

It is an app using audio guides and real-time location to direct users towards their next journey of exploration.

The tour provides users with information on various points of interest and attractions that can be discovered along the Dubai Metro route. Between Dubai Airport Terminal 3 and The Dubai Mall.

One can find the Al Fahidi Architecture Tour on the Pocket Guide Map that is an electronic version of a human tour guide, assisting tourists with their travels in cities across the world.
