Within the year 2018, the hotel is scheduled to be fully operational.
This hotel would be the very first one in the Middle East that would be completely operated by solar power, according to a media report. Faris Saeed, the CEO of Diamond Developers said that they have the final architectural blueprint and the work would start soon within a few weeks.
The hotel has been operational under the boutique brand Indigo of UHG lifestyle.
It would rely on farm-on-table concept. As much as nearly 60 to 70% of the fresh produce like the vegetables and herbs are being sourced from a local farm that is close to the hotel.
Also, the water from this hotel would be utilized for the purpose of landscaping.
Three Indigo-branded hotels are presently under development in the GCC and these include one in Riyadh and another one in Dubai.
This hotel chain is developing the Hotel Indigo Dubai Business Bay after an estimated investment amounting to nearly $62.6 million, and is based in the downtown area of the city.
In July 2016, Shapoorji Pallonji had been appointed as the main contractor of the Hotel Indigo Dubai Business Bay.
