Dubai to launch new transit visas for travelers, permitting 48 hours free travel

DubaiNow, Dubai vacationers can stay for two days for free while travelling through the airport, as the city has launched free transit visas for tourists.

For many UK travelers, Dubai is a transfer point who uses the busiest airport of the world as kind of a stopping off point before traveling to another country.

Now, the UAE government has introduced new transit visa for travelers who travel to Dubai International Airport.

Tourists will access two days of free travel in the capital city while entering the country.
It has yet to be put into place. However, the proposal means travelers could have two holidays in one.

For travelers keen to stay longer, a 96-hour visa can be purchased for £10.

In the airport, express counters at passport control will be placed for tourists to use and obtain the transit visa.

Also, other countries permit transit free travel, with China providing 72 hours visa-free.

Many tourists travel to Dubai which is identified for its huge shopping malls and skyscrapers as it welcomes 1.5 million British tourists every year.

The tallest tower in the world, the famous Burj Khalifa, many are heading to floor 148 for the best views.

The city has made many moves to attract tourism even further to the region.
