Dubai’s Gloria Hotel has become a destination in itself, providing modern meeting and event venues, roomy suites, a tranquil spa and highly developed fitness area and a wide collection of dining outlets and lounge with striking city and sea views.
Of late, Green Globe recertified Gloria Hotel for the third year at a stretch. After an onsite audit, Gloria Hotel scored 78%, carried on by UAE-based FARNEK, Green Globe’s favored partner in the Middle East.
To quote Freddy Farid, Area General Manager of Gloria Hotels and Resorts, “Ever since we started our sustainability journey at Gloria Hotels, we realized that sustainability is no longer simply about reducing harm to the environment but taking on worthwhile initiatives that will benefit the environment. These actions then became part of our daily culture – you cannot move forward if you take more from the community than you put back into it. My team has realized this and accomplished our Green Globe aims.”
Dubai’s Gloria Hotel is dedicated to offer its best environmental practices and hold up several community programs to take forward its business strategy. The hotel’s Green Globe champions are the dynamic forces working behind eco-friendly efforts that engage colleagues, guests and other stakeholders. Side by side, the hotel has condensed its CO2 emissions by 4.27% and additionally offset 72.15 tons in 2017. The net outcome is a growth of 12.35 tons from the previous year.
The newly concluded EMS project has been incorporated with an aim to save huge amounts of energy over 2018.
