The Durban ICC has once again been honoured with another international award for service excellence. The Centre took top honours at the 2015 World Travel Awards (WTA) being voted “Africa’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre”, at the annual Africa and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony held at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort on Saturday evening.
The World Travel Awards celebrates its 22nd anniversary this year and is acknowledged across the globe as the ultimate travel accolade. The awards programme aims to celebrate those organisations that are pushing the boundaries of industry excellence.
The Centre was voted top of its league amongst nominees which included the Cape Town International Convention Centre, Sandton Convention Centre, Kenyatta ICC and the Cairo ICC.
Durban ICC Chief Executive Officer, Lindiwe Rakharebe said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all our clients for their unwavering support and for voting us ‘Africa’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre’ for the fourteenth time. An accomplishment like this can only be achieved by a team delivering the highest levels of service excellence. Rest assured that we will continue striving to earn their esteem and support.”
