The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) is planning to come up with a new user friendly prepaid taxi services to the capital city of Patna.

The Managing director of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) and tourism department’s joint secretary Inayat Khan said that if it is finalized, the service will be started in partnership with a private agency. It will also have global positioning system (GPS) to track the taxi.

The new app will be easy for people to hire cabs and taxis for in the city and even the outstation journeys to the nearby states of Bihar.

A tourism department official mentioned that the private agencies are offering taxi services charge highly during peak hours and late nights, and also have waiting charges. So now the state government of Bihar is planning on how to make this service feasible for the common man.

Patna has now OLA services in mobile app-based taxi service while others are taxis operated by travel agencies but without GPS. According to a new survey done in the city, maximum number of people said they would prefer government run taxis more than any private ones because of safety purpose.
