On the back of customer feedback, East Midlands Trains has launched the new #ticketsavvy pocket guide which shows a simple infographic explaining the different types of ticket available and an easy guide to when customers can use them. There’s also a range of top tips to help customers save money and keep up to date with the latest offers including:
Marc Turley, Commercial Director for East Midlands Trains explains the thinking behind the campaign: “We know some customers think rail tickets are confusing and people can sometimes be worried about whether they’re buying the best ticket for their journey.
“We are working with the rest of the industry on how we can simplify train tickets in the future but in the meantime, we’ve launched a really easy guide which gives a simple breakdown of the different types of tickets available and when customers can use them.
“There’s also a range of top tips for customers to help save money and keep up to date with the latest offers.”
Customer service staff have been at key East Midlands Trains’ stations this week handing out the leaflets and talking to customers about how the get the best deal on their ticket. A social media campaign will be running for the next few weeks using #ticketsavvy, and East Midlands Trains staff at its Derby-based 24/7 contact centre are available to help customers with any queries about buying tickets.
