Following the move of the Arsenal vs Leicester City match at the Emirates Stadium from Saturday 13 February at 3pm, to Sunday 14 February at noon, East Midlands Trains has announced that fans who already have a train ticket booked will be able to use it to travel on any train on Sunday 14 February for no extra cost.
Neil Micklethwaite, Customer Experience & Commercial Director for East Midlands Trains, said: “Our aim is to make travelling with East Midlands Trains as easy as possible and that’s why we’re allowing any fans with a pre-booked train ticket for Saturday 13 February to travel on any train on Sunday 14 February. All they will need to do is show their LCFC ticket along with their train ticket. We’ve tried to make it hassle free and easy so fans don’t have the inconvenience of changing their ticket or paying more to travel on a different day.
“We’ve been working closely with LCFC to get the message out to fans and we’ve been getting information out through our twitter feed @EMTrains. We’ll also be providing extra carriages on a number of our morning services between Leicester and London”.
Any fans deciding not to travel on Sunday 14 February will be able to claim a full refund on their train ticket. Please note, seat reservations made for Saturday 13 February will not be valid on Sunday 14 February.
Fans are advised to try and travel on the following services between Leicester and London which will all be running with 8 or 9 carriages:
07:20 from Leicester – arrives St Pancras at 09.15
