easyJet, the leading European airline for its network and N°2 airline in France, this morning announced new routes from and to Bordeaux at a press conference. The orange airline is introducing four new destinations, reaching the milestone of 20 routes operated in and out of Bordeaux.
With 6.5 million passengers carried in Bordeaux since 2006, easyJet continues to invest in Bordeaux-Mérignac, consolidating its position as the 2nd operator at the airport.
Barcelona – at the heart of a modern, enterprising Spain. Barcelona, the economic and cultural heart of Catalonia, boasts many attractions.
Berlin – underground culture and a dynamic economy. A leisure destination with unfailing success for city breaks.
Marseille – a cultural capital with a unique atmosphere. The European Capital of Culture in 2013 and France’s second-largest city welcomes visitors eager to discover its creeks, historic monuments and the discreet charm of the Estaque Port.
Venice – the city of water and light is accessible to everyone. Romantics can navigate the Grand Canal aboard a Vaporetto or visit the Palace of the Doges, a Venetian Gothic masterpiece. Modern art enthusiasts are also catered for with the Palazzo Grassi among other sites.
Reginald Otten, easyJet Sales Director France, said:
“With these four new routes this year, we wanted to respond to the expectations of Bordeaux residents over the long term. These routes satisfy the travel needs of our clients and also the expectations of business travellers from the Aquitaine region, who will now be able to visit major European cities such as Berlin or Marseille at low cost. To provide greater flexibility for their trips, easyJet will also offer increased early-morning flight frequency from 2016. This should please our business clients and also the growing number of city-breakers.”
Bordeaux Airport Director Pascal Personne added: “The easyJet service in Bordeaux is remarkable for two reasons: firstly, the airline is the second-largest operator at Bordeaux Airport in terms of volume and secondly, for the continued addition of new services every year.”
**One-way fare, with taxes and administration costs included, with 2 passengers travelling on the same booking. Variable charges apply for hold luggage. See conditions on easyJet.com. Price given in euros for information on 24/11/2015.
